Nearly done

Almost there, the two plane flanking panels are finished and the centre panel is assembled. Had a slight change of tack with the centre pattern, even the thinnest lead came looked a little chunky and we couldn't quite achieve the delicate elegance the client was looking for. So we copper foiled the centre piece and set it within the lead came of the blue oval. Looks a treat. As always my photos don't do justice to the subject, but you get the idea; they will look beautiful fitted.

Lead lights

After a bit of a lull whilst some rot was put right in the frame, we now continue apace. All glass cut and the first panel finished. Photos show it once leaded and ready to solder, and after soldering and puttied waiting the big cleanup. I should have the other two panels finished this weekend, but if the weather is good might go sailing instead.

Lead lights

Next project came as a bit of a bit of a rush job, the client is changing the bathroom colour scheme and really needs new windows to complement it. Currently three small pieces of textured glass with stick on lead strips and some yellow paint. Replacing with three lead lights, each with a dark blue border and the centre panel with a simple oval design reflecting room colours. Collected materials and drew the cartoons today.

Copper foil course

Second day of our copper foiling course over and one happy lady off home with a beautiful sun catcher; just a shame we couldn't catch any sun.
One of our charities a little bit better of and a very nice ladies life hopefully a little bit fuller; time well spent.

Sold already

Ok, didn't see that one coming, we have sold "Starry Night" already. So will make that one first for the client then make "The Scream" and put that on eBay with the proceeds to charity. Really looking forward to these.

Future projects

We have a few interesting projects in the pipeline; two door panels depicting scenes from the Battle of Britain, several fanlights and for myself we are going to attempt two of my favourite paintings, the scream and starry night. I might put one up for auction for one of my charities.

Mondrian stained glass window installed

All fitted and looking really good. Both panels went in without a fuss, transforming a plain UPVC window into something really magical. Sadly my photographic skills are not a match for my glazing and the pictures really don't do it justice, but even so it does look like an original feature and sits perfectly in the room enhancing the ambiance.
I think we just about nailed Mondrian; hope you like it.
